Cassidy sat waiting in the terminal next to her brother, Nick. She had her iPod on and headphones in, and had for a while. The battery was getting lower, as Cassidy saw, so she held down the 'Play/Pause' button to turn it off, pulling the earbuds out. She wrapped the wires around her black iPod and stuck it in her backpack. Nick was staring off into space, wearing a white T-shirt with a long sleeved button down shirt over, and tan khaki shorts. He had his hands on the armrests, and his brown eyes kept staring at the wall that said, in big letters, 'Oceanic Airlines'. His brown hair nearly covered his eyes and he shook it out of the way. "f***ing truck driver," mumbled Nick. Cassidy looked up, saddness in her eyes. "Swearing at him won't help." she said. "But I do find it unfair that Dad's dead and the stupid truck driver is still alive." Cassidy turned away, looking at the terminal door. "We should sue him," he said. Cassidy rolled her eyes. "Sueing him won't get us our dad back, Nick," she said to her older brother. She knew how they both felt, and the fact that their mother refused to come to their father's funeral made it worse. Cassidy yawned, resting he rhead on the corner of the seat and closing her eyes.
"Now boarding, Oceanic Flight 815 to Los Angeles, now boarding," Came the annoying voice of the lady behind the counter on the intercom. Her brother shook Cassidy, awakening her. "We gotta go," he said. Cassidy nodded, grabbing her backpack and her carry-on suitcase. Her brother was rolling his carry-on suitcase and his backpack, too. His cellphone buldged in his back pocket as Nick and Cassidy handed their tickets to the woman. She slid them through the machine and pulled them back out, tearing off part of each one. "Have a nice flight!" she said cheerfully. Nick gave her a disgusted look, like he was saying, 'How in the hell are we supposed to have a nice flight when our dad is dead?' Cassidy pushed him from behind, forcing him through the door.
