(first post, exciting!)
Sun was wandering down the coastline, looking off into the water. The waves were crashing against a pile of rocks a little further down from where she was.
It was a beautiful place, this island, but it was also very dangerous. She did not want her child to grow up in such a place, no matter what.
She looked out to the horizon, almost appearing to be looking for the rescue crew. But of course, nobody was coming.
She then turned her gaze to her feet, as the cool water began to sweep over them with the tide.
It was best to be heading back, she thought to herself.

[[YAY! I will reply to this one, but leave the other one for the moment, as hopefully people will return and you wouldn't want just two threads with Jack ]] Jack walked among the tents, looking around at everyone. He noticed how happy everyone seemed, it was almost as if they had forgotten they were stranded here and still waiting for rescue. Everyone had made there own home, got food, and were settled. Maybe no one wanted to leave anymore, they had been here so long now, maybe they had given up hope of ever getting rescued. Looking over to the ocean he noticed Sun on here own, so he slowly made his way towards here, still glancing in every direction watching people. It had been quiet lately, almost too quiet. This was strange for them, normally something strange would happen everyday on this island ... but not for a while, thank god! "Hi Sun" Jack said as he got within ear-shot. "How are you?" He moved to the side of her and looked out into the ocean.

Sun noticed Jack coming towards her, saying hello.
"Hello, Jack," she replied.
She could see that Jack was feeling rather laid back, which was good. Nothing of much consequence had happened recently, so people were starting to get comfortable. Jack, as it seemed, was no exception.
"I am doing well, and you?"

"I'm not bad" Jack told her, keeping his eyes on the sea. Maybe one day he will be able to look out there and see a rescue boat heading towards the island, and everyone getting there life back home. But it didn't look like that would happen anytime soon.
"Have you told Jin yet?" Jack looked at her, and then at her stomach ".. about the baby, I mean" He was one of the few people that knew Sun was pregnant, she had come to him so that he could confirm it. Kate also knew, but he wasn't sure if she had told her husband. Really, it was none of his business, but he was just trying to make conversation. Raising Aaron on this island seemed hard enough, but now Sun was having a child too. At least Claire and Sun would have more to talk about, and if this carried on happening, maybe someone would start and island nursery.

"Yes, I've told him," Sun replied, answering Jack's question. Oh, she could remember that moment vividly. She couldn't have seen Jin happier, even given the circumstances. Back in Korea, they had been told that Sun could not have a child. In reality, it turned out that the problem had actually been with Jin, but still, it was a miracle nonetheless.
"He is happy," she told Jack, as she looked down at her own stomach.

A smile came across Jack's face, pleased to hear it. There was too many secrets on this island and it was even worse when they were kept between the survivors. It would be best if everyone was open and honest to each other, but that would never work out. Everyone had there own little secrets and eventually someone would find out.
But it was an even bigger problem when there was secrets out there, in the jungle. These "others" and "hatches", not to mention the "monster". Things on this island got weirder and weirder each day, and no one could explain it.
"It's a shame we don't have the correct equipment so i can do a scan, and tell you the sex of the baby" Jack knew many mothers got excited the day they found out whether they were having a boy or a girl, but Sun would [most likely] never get that day. "But, maybe we could throw you a baby shower"

Sun hadn't thought of it before, actually. "Well, I think I can manage," she said to Jack. She hadn't put much thought into the gender of the baby. She would like a little girl, but she would like a little boy as well. Not knowing only meant that they would have more to prepare for.
She hadn't thought of the next thing Jack said either.
She smiled at the idea, then said "I could just imagine that scene. You and the others gathered around telling me about...." She paused, wondering what Jack, or anyone, would say at a shower. "Little booties," is what she finally said, laughing at the thought.

Jack let out a small laugh, it was a funny image, picturing all the survivors throwing Sun a baby shower. Although it might happen, they have had a beach party before, it is just something to keep them occupied and take there minds off being stranded here.
"Well ... maybe i could arrange something" Jack told her, trying to make her happy "Unless, you don't want anyone else to know" Jack wasn't sure how many people she had told, and how many people she actually wanted to know about it. Maybe she didn't want anyone else knowing, Jack didn't know why but people had there reasons for keeping things like that secret.
Jack was told to keep quiet about it all, so maybe she didn't plan on telling anyone else. But hopefully, by the time the baby arrived they would be off this island. They did have 9 months from now, and if all else failed they could build another raft but be better armed.

"Whoever doesn't know will in a few months," she said to Jack. Of course, assuming they were still there by that time.
"I have told Jin already, so you don't have to keep it secret anymore." She was glad that Jack hadn't told anyone, because she had wanted to tell her husband herself. But now that that had been done, she didn't see anything wrong with letting the others know.
Although she hoped that she wouldn't have to raise the child in such a place, she knew she would have to prepare for it. She had seen Claire deal with it, and Sun didn't know how she would react in the same situation. But she had a little while longer before she had to worry about that.

"Well i guess if you need any tips then Claire would be the best person to ask" Jack knew he wouldn't be able to answer her questions as well as Claire could, she had been through it all, and on this island as well. Jack didn't really deal with pregnant women back in the real world, he was a spinal surgeon after all.
But if there was anyone on this island that people should come to asking for medical advice, it would have to be Jack. No one on this island seemed to have a job like Jacks, there was Boone who was a lifeguard [not a very good one] but now he was gone, so it was just Jack saving everyone's life.
"I guess you've looked after Aaron enough, so you should have plenty of experience" Jack laughed a little, it seemed every time he looked around Claire had given Sun the baby to look after. But it was hard on her and she did need all the help she could get.

"Yes," Sun agreed. Claire has been so protective of Aaron, despite her situation. If she was half the mother Claire was, her little boy or girl would be just fine.
"Yes, I guess I would," she said. "Thank you, Jack."
She had grown fond of the baby Aaron in the past few weeks, and had begun to get used to having a baby around. That was good, for in less than nine months, she would have a child of her own. She must have been glowing from the thought.

Jack could see how happy Sun looked. Having a child wasn't what everyone wanted, many people hated the thought of having someone else to look after. But Jack didn't feel this way, he would love to have a child of his own, and from the look on Sun's face she felt the same way. If there was anyone on this island that deserved a child, and would treat it with love and respect, it would be Sun.
"You're going to make a fantastic mother" Jack said, knowing that she would do a great job. The only problem in Jacks mind was the Others. When Claire had had her baby there had been some trouble with her getting kidnapped. The Danielle taking the baby. He wasn't going to let this happen, he would just have to keep an eye on Sun to make sure she would be ok.
