"You're always ruining my life!!"
Judd was to the point of screaming now. Why did his mom always make him take out the trash?! Marc could do it, so could mom. But no! They made him do it.
"You need to calm down young man!"
"Why?! You ARE always ruining my life! You take out the trash!"
"You are grounded! Go to your room!"
Judd went up to his room. He put his pillows under his sheet so that it looked like he was in his bed. Then he climbed out his window and jumped off of his roof. He landed on the mattress he had hidden behind a bush. He quickly whipped out his cell-phone and called Joey.
"Hey, man. Whats up?"
"I need you to come over and pick me up." Judd replied.
"What? Now?"
"No, in January. Of course right now!"
"All right. I'm on my way." Joey said exasperated.
At The NIGHTCLUB, Judd was drinking beer next to Leonard and Joey. He couldn't remember the last time he had come here. This place, he thought to himself, was all he would ever need.

Judd stared at the people in the club. He was grateful for his fake ID, and even more grateful he looked old enough for it not to be questioned. The nice goatee helped a lot. Judd drank his Guinness and sat back in his seat.
"Hey, Joey. Look at that one over there!" Judd pointed to a woman across the room. She was a knock-out. Way out of his league but it didn't keep him from wishing.
"Yeah! She's good," Joey said. "Wanna see a pro reel her in?" He got up and walked over to the woman. They talked for a bit then he nodded to the table. Judd had a bad feeling he was getting set up. He was suddenly a bundle of nerves.
The two walked over to his table and the woman sat down next to Judd. "Hi," she said and winked at him. "So what's your name?"
"Judd," he said. He wondered where this was going. He had no intention of it going anywhere. Judd was not into one night stands with strange women, even if they were gorgeous. "And yours?"
"Shannon,. Your friend here said you wanted to talk to me."
"Yeah? Nice friend I've got there." Judd said looking at Joey with daggers in his eyes. "So, you, uh, wanna dance?"
"Sure," Shannon said. "I love dancing."
Judd led the blonde bombshell onto the dance floor and started to dance with her. Oh, if only mom could see me now. Man she would be pissed!
"So, what brings you to the club tonight. I haven't seen you here before," Judd asked.
"Oh, I'm just passing through. Came here to see a friend for a few days. I'm going back to Australia tomorrow."

Judd followed Shannon out to her rental car. It had been fun for the last couple of hours, but he was tired and she had a plane to catch the next day.
"It's was fun tonight. You're a great dancer," Judd said.
"Thanks. I used to teach ballet in another life," she said.
Judd laughed. "Well that wasn't ballet, but I understand a little more about you now."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Shannon said and acted like she didn't see it as a joke.
"Just that you have great style on the dance floor. You're a natural!"
"Oh," she smiled. "Well, Judd it's been real. If you ever get a chance to visit Australia, look me up." Shannon gave him a kiss on the cheek and got into her car. She drove off and out of his life.
~~~ Funny how it was out of his memory too by morning. He must have had way too many drinks. He didn't even remember Joey bringing him home or his sneaking into bed and crashing. When his mom woke him up in the morning he had a major hangover. This led to an argument since he didn't want to get up and led to her accusing him of doing drugs. "It's a sin Judd. I'm worried about you because if you died when you sneak out one night I don't know if you'd go to Heaven," his mom said. Blah, blah blah, is what Judd heard.
All of this led to a new thought as Judd entered the shower. "I think it's time I grew up and got out of this place," he thought. "These people's religiosity and high and mighty attitudes are really getting under my skin. I don't want their rules and I don't want their God either."
Judd took off that morning but not to school. He skipped again and actually went to the library. For some reason, he actually had this new found desire to visit Australia. He didn't remember why, but it sounded like a beautiful country.
When Judd came home, he got the mail out of the mailbox and took it inside. He set it on the table and got out a box of cereal. After pouring some Captain Crunch and grabbing the milk, Judd went over to the table and sat down to eat. He flipped through the mail and caught sight of his name. He looked at the envelope and opened it up thinking it was just an advertisement. His eyes got big and nearly popped out of his head when a credit card, pre-approved with a $2500 limit and his very own name on it fell out onto the table. Picking it up and turning it over in his hands, a plan was coming to him. It was merely a matter of time.
Judd was going to visit Australia.
