Piper nodded to Jack as he departed, carelessly throwing her shovel to the ground as she did so. Her arms were now aching and she was hot and sticky from sweating so much.
For a moment she let her attention rest on Boone, now buried, before turning it to Lani.
“Well, I guess I’ll see you around then.” She said a little awkwardly, realising how little she knew the rest of the castaways. She wondered if Lani felt as awkward as she did.

Oliver Riddell hadn't know Boone well, all remebered was the young man rushing about asking for a pen. He'd thought him foolish at the time, why would you need a pen when a crisis had just happened?
But, over the days he'd noticed that Boone was more brave than foolish. Riddell had been observing everyone and had decided that Boone was one of the more decent ones. He never spoke to anyone, just watched, he hadn't known Boone, but considering the amount of people crying at his funeral he supposed he must have been a good man, he'd returned to their small graveyard that night and glanced around it.
He stood in the dead of night and looked at the graves of Scott and Boone and that woman who had drowned. He stared at the graves and then looked back at the nice warm camp with the fires freshly lit. He sighed and said as if to the graves themselves, "This graveyard is going to get much bigger."
