--"What is this board?"
This is an rpg board. RPG stands for role playing game. You take on a character one that you have created or an original from the show and you role play as them, with other members from the board. For example.
I play Jack Shepard so my post may look a little like this:
Jack's eyes opened, where was he? He was looking straight up and could see tree's and the sky. What had just happened? Jack could barely remember anything, looked around he saw many more tree's and bushes. He slowly sat up but felt a sharp pain in his side, looking down to where the pain was he remembered something ... a plane crash! ... and so on
--"Can I post in two different places at the same time?"
You sure can. Roleplaying is exactly that. It doesn't have to be exact reality. Time is non existent in terms of being in two places at once. Its alternate.
--"Can characters fight?"
Of course. This isn't a perfect world However if you want to fight a character try to be reasonable in your actions. E.g don't write,
"Jack punched Sawyer and killed him."
Or,
"Jack punched Sawyer and knocked him out."
Instead say,
"Jack threw a punch at Sawyer."
Then that character can choose whether that punch connects.
--"Can i have more than one character?"
You can! But the one rule, which i think makes it a little more fair, is to only have one character from the show. This way no one gets greedy and has loads from the show, but you can make as many characters up as you want! Don't hold back
--"What is OOC?"
OOC = Out Of Character. In a post if you want to tell someone something that has nothing to do with your char ... just write OOC inside two brackets at either the top or bottom of your post. eg ...
[[OOC: Great Post, love the work your doing!]]
--"Can I start my own threads?"
Defiantly! Start as many as you like, no limit! Keep 'em comin'. If you feel you can handle more, start more ... but make sure you keep an eye on the others ones you are in
--"Can I join in other threads?"
This all depends, if no one has got there and it says [[OOC: Anyone reply]] then go ahead, if it has started ... then you may want to PM the people in it first to make sure they don't mind you entering. Sometimes people are doing threads where they only want a certain number of people in, or just a certain character So it is best to send them a PM to make sure you don't annoy anyone
