Danielle was tired of these survivors. They kept setting off the traps she had set to catch her dinner or an Other. It was very rude of them to walk around this island like it was theirs. They were stupid and ignorant and simply didn't get the idea that it was too dangerous for them away from the beach. They were not quiet as they walked, they had no regard for the dangers of this island. Danielle knew it was because they had not yet been here long enough to know better, but she had no desire to see them hurt or, worse yet, keeping her from a good meal.
So, Danielle shifted her path in the forest. She was going to put up new markers for the Dark Territory, but she was moving them further out. Danielle would know where the true markers were but these ignorant survivors would have no clue. She began placing black cloth on the trees that surrounded the area she liked to hunt and where she had her new home. Hopefully now the survivors would stop wandering into her traps. She had to do something.
A twig snapped and Danielle knew she had company. They were still a distance away, but she grabbed her rifle and his among the trees quickly. Whomever it was would find out Danielle didn't want company...

Rodney had never been great at treking over the island, he just followed the others and memorized the way. This time, when a polar bear appeared, he had to run like hell to get out of it's way. Only to arrive at the Dark Territory and Danielle's traps. Rodney have been known to talk by himself when he walks alone to sort of get attention of someone to help him find his way back. "Why won't we just shot the polar bears, just pick up a rifle" Rodney raises his gun. "Aim", he aims. "And just take a shot... Bam" he gestured with his hands in movement as a gun would move after being shot. Then he laughed for himself and kept on walking. After about 5 minutes he found himself near these traps, he have had several times were he could've easily got crushed or hung in one of them. But he's had unbelievable luck since the day he could walk, but that was just about to change. As he walked roughly he broke a twig which caught Danielle's attention.

The visitor did not see Danielle as she stood concealed by the trees and jungle foliage. She kept her sight on the man walking toward her and wondered if he was a survivor of the crash or one of Them. She hated Them, and wished she had not handed the one Other over to Sayid. It was a mistake she would not make again if she had the opportunity.
As the man neared, she noted his clothing and the manner which he carried himself. He was talking to himself. In Danielle's mind that made him a stupid survivor, ignorant of how to behave in this jungle. And yet something in her gut told her he was one of Them. An Other. She paused only a moment before firing her weapon at the man's shoulder. He would not die. Danielle had no intention of killing him... yet.

Rodney thought about some of his jokes at the moment and had a stupid smile on his face. Suddenly he felt that he was not alone, he got goose flesh and searched through the jungle carefully with his eyes. Suddenly there was a shot. Everything got quiet. No birds, no trees swinging, nothing. He felt and enormous pain in his shoulder. He slowly turned his head down to look at the wound. When he saw the blood he got dizzy. Rodney never liked blood, it made him nauseous. He fell back and blacked out.

Danielle went toward the man cautiously. She kicked him lightly with her foot as she kept her rifle aimed at him. He didn't move. Danielle knew the wound was not fatal. That meant the man was either faking or he passed out from the shock of it. If he were an Other as she suspected, he was very likely a stellar actor.
Keeping her gun aimed at him, Danielle gathered some vines. Once she had enough, she used her foot to turn the man on his stomach and cautiously set her rifle down but put her hunting knife in her hand. Then Danielle set about binding him with the vines. She did not wish to give the man a chance of escape.

Rodney woke up with a chock, coughing blood and could barely open his eyes. He felt he was tied up and down on the ground. Hardly able to breathe without getting dust and sand in his mouth. But as soon as he felt a big spider crawling up his leg slowly. He jumped up shaking his body to get rid of it. At that point he felt a hit to the head and he blacked out again.

[[OOC: I probably wouldn't have hit you! Try not to say my character did something. I would have preferred to make you walk. ]] Danielle was thrilled to have to drag this wounded man back to her home. At the same time, he wasn't going to go nearly as willingly if he were awake. When he jumped up for apparently no reason Danielle knew of, she felt compelled to make him stay in line. Rousseau was going to get answers this time. Even though it meant more work for her in the end. Once they arrived back at her little hideaway, Danielle tied the man to her makeshift table. It wasn't as nice as her old hideaway, but she made do. After she was certain he was secure, Danielle set about to make her dinner. It wasn't long before she thought she heard the man stir...
