((OOC: Set the day after Left Behind. Open to Jack, Juliet, Kate and Sayid.)) Judd walked back to the caves. The recent happenings had him depressed. His friend Jack had stayed behind when Sawyer and Kate escaped the Others and then Kate went back to look for him. They weren't back yet. Some of the survivors thought none of them would return. Some other (Not a reference to "The Others.") survivors thought they could be home at any time. Judd set up his small tent, arranged everything inside, and started a fire. The survivors thought that fires in the jungle attracted Others or worse, monsters. Judd sat next to his small fire. He had but merely his Ka-Bar knife that had been in his luggage for protection. He pulled out a fruit, and bit into it. The rest of my days on the Island will probably end like this. Judd thought.

Jack walked through the jungle, not far now, soon he would be back at camp and be able to see everyone again. He wasn't in the best moods but he tried not to show it. Locke had blown up the submarine that was supposed to take Juliet and himself on this damn place and now he had to go back and sleep on the sand. But he wasn't going to complain, instead he tried to look happy, even though he knew people would not be pleased to see Juliet.
Sayid and Kate were walking ahead, not wanting to be anywhere near Juliet, which is unfair as she has done nothing wrong. Juliet wanted off this island as much as they did, she was left behind just like them. But Jack didn't want to argue and he knew soon enough they would get over it, so he just kept walking and tried to keep a conversation going with Juliet.
They reached the caves and the conversation had died between the two of them, right now it was silent. But Jack spotted some smoke not far from them, he saw a small tent so made his way over, hoping Juliet would follow. No one stayed at the caves anymore, did they? Had they all moved back here in Jack's absence?
Nope. There was just one tent here, and Jack knew exactly who it was. This is how Judd and Jack had first met, at these caves, he had told him not to stay here as it wasn't safe, but it seemed Judd didn't want to listen. He moved around the tent to see Judd sitting next to a small fire. A smile came across his face, it was good to see him again.
"Judd" Jack said, in an attempt to get his attention.

Judd looked up from his fire. He could see an outline in the darkness. The voice sounded familiar... No, it was one of Them. One of the Others. He jumped up and grabbed a stick with fire on it. He ran forward, but soon the light flickered across the shape's face.
Jack.
He stopped, felt like his knees were going to melt away. "J-J-Jack?"

Jack wasn't sure how to react when he saw Judd coming at him with a stick, but he remained calm and he knew exactly what Judd would be thinking. What with all the Others coming to there camp and taking people every-so-often, Judd should be scared. But all Jack did was stand there and smile, once Judd realized who it was, Jack moved in a little closer and gave him a small hug.
"How have you been?" Jack hadn't seen Judd in a long time, he had been on the other side of the island most of the time, but now he would get to see all the old faces once again. But he knew people would have a lot of questions to ask him and Juliet, questions that might not get answers straight away.
"I thought I told you to stay at the beach with everyone else" Jack said in a joking sense. Judd could do whatever he wanted, Jack wasn't his father, but he liked to make sure everyone was safe and try not to loose anyone else on this island.

"Well, I figured that if Kate, Sayid and Locke ever came back, they'd come through here." Judd smirked, but he had millions of questions flying through his head.
"What happened over there? Did you have to kill any of the Others-" He noticed a girl staying back. She looked quite a bit like an Other. "Jack, tell me she isn't who I think she is." He said, slowly raising his stick to a defensive position.

Jack knew bringing back Juliet may cause problems, but Jack wasn't going to leave her alone out there. Anything could happen to her now she was on her own, she had been abandoned and wasn't one of them anymore.
"Judd ..." Jack tried to find the right words to say to him "Don't ... don't over reactive now. Yes, she used to be one of them, but she was left behind like me. So she has come to stay on the beach, but i trust her and i hope that is enough for you to be able to trust her"
Jack looked back at Juliet, maybe she could say something, although Jack knew how scary this must be for her. Her people had done so much to there camp, and now Jack had to try and convince them Juliet wasn't here to hurt them.

Judd was startled. Jack knew she was one of them and he still wanted to bring her to the beach?! What happened to him?!
"Jack, what happened to you?" He said in a voice of utter disbelief.

Ben put too much faith in her. How was she supposed to survive here for a week without having someone kill her, just because she was one of them? He had assured her that, if she played her cards correctly, everything would work as planned. Juliet just hoped that she didn't make a false move. On the walk back, Juliet's nerves had been going crazy on the inside. There were so many things to remember, so many different scenarios to play out in her head. This week had to play out correctly. If not... well, Juliet didn't want to think about what would happen if things went astray. She still remembered that night on the dock when the submarine had exploded. John Locke had taken away her chance to get off this island. Her chance to see her sister! The chance to finally see her nephew, Julian. She had wanted to hurt Locke so badly for ruining this chance for her, but Ben forbade her, saying that he had a different plan. And maybe there was still a chance for her to get off this island... But now... now things were different. She had the trust of one man, Jack. Kate despised her, especially after what had happened in the jungle. Sayid didn't trust her. This plan was going to be more difficult than she thought it was going to be. She stood at the back of the group as they entered the caves, not wanting to startle the person who was in there. She stayed silent, observing everything around her. Juliet crossed her arms across her chest and forced herself to not react to what Judd was saying. She didn't flinch when he raised his flaming stick. She knew that she wasn't going to be greeted with open arms. In fact, Juliet told herself that she would be lucky if these people didn't greet her with guns and bullets to the chest. She saw Jack glance back at her, but Juliet had nothing to say. She wasn't exactly in a position to start carrying on light conversation. During these first couple of days, she was going on a motto of 'don't speak unless spoken to'. It would be difficult to offend someone if she never initiated conversation. Gaining the trust of the camp was going to be a difficult task. She had to do it in one week. But there was a plan. Everything had to go according to plan. ((So yeah... that was a huge post about absolutely nothing. lol. Oh well. : )

Nothing had happened to Jack ...nothing! But it was going to take some convincing for people to believe him, after all he now trusted one of them. If they had been there, if they had been through everything Jack had been through, then they would trust Juliet. She was probably the only one of them that could be trusted, and now Jack hoped the camp would at least give Juliet a chance.
"Judd, it's ok. She isn't with them anymore," Jack turned to Juliet, and in an attempt to lighten the mood he said "Juliet this is Judd ... Judd this is Juliet" He knew Judd wouldn't welcome her with open arms, but if he had any faith in Jack he would at least give it a try.

Judd was bewildered. Jack was back, but he was bringing with him one of Them. There was no measure as to how far back Judd had to remember. To remember that he could trust Jack. "Um, hi." Was all he could bring himself to say to Juliet. "Jack," He said in a lower tone, "John Halsey and Sawyer won't like this. You know John better than I do. You'll be bringing Juliet into danger."

Jack smiled as Judd said "hi", he thought it was going to take a little more convincing, but he was glad to see that Judd had enough trust in him. If only the rest of the camp were going to react the same way, as Judd said, both Sawyer and John wouldn't like this at all. Especially after what Sawyer and been through.
"Let me deal with them Judd" Jack didn't want Juliet to panic at all, she wouldn't be harmed while Jack was around "She's under my protection" Jack told him. No one was going to touch Juliet, everyone would have questions but Juliet would answer when she is good and ready. Jack wasn't going to let anyone bully her into answering her, but from experience Jack couldn't imagine anyone being able to do this to Juliet. She did seem to know a lot about everyone already.

Juliet took in everything. Body language, facial expressions, voice tones... She had to know how to deal with these people. She had to know how she was supposed to fit in.
When Jack introduced her to Judd, she nodded her head slightly. "It's nice to meet you, Judd," she said, keeping her voice steady so that no one would know how nervous she was. But no matter how confident she pretended to be, it was all an act. Almost everything was an act at this point.
Judd, however, did not seem impressed with her. He started speaking to Jack in lower voices. Instead of trying to listen in, Juliet just found herself glad that the boy hadn't come after her with that flaming stick in his hand. She just stayed where she was while the two of them talked, being polite and not butting in. Juliet took to studying her surroundings, if only because there was nothing else to do for the moment.
This was going to be one of the longest weeks in her life.

Sayid still didn't trust her.
He'd walked on ahead of them, but had turned back when he heard voices. People at the caves. So he turned back to see what was going on, how'd they react to... her.
He nodded towards Judd and Hurley, but said nothing.
Sayid simply watched her talking to them. She was definitely convincing, and who knew? She could be totally innocent, like Jack believed. But then, "Henry Gale" had been convincing, too.
And Sayid knew she was one of Them, whether she still was or not.
Unfortunately, proving if she was still one of Them would be quite a bit more difficult than proving that Ben was ever one of Them, because she didn't have to lie about her past...
... and there was still the fact that she had told him nothing about her people...

((OOC: Hurley isn't there, just Judd, Jack, Juliet, Kate and you.))
Judd nodded, then reverted to a normal voice and said, "Welcome back," to Sayid. "So, Where's Locke and Kate? They were with Sayid when he left." Judd was curious. Did they get eaten by the monster or a polar bear? Or did the Others catch them. That's stupid, Judd thought, One of Them is right in front of you.

Jack looked in Sayid's direction, he could see he did not trust Juliet at all ... but did this mean he didn't trust Jack? Did he think Jack had been turned? Jack wasn't sure, but he didn't want Sayid following him everywhere, watching his every move. He and Sayid had gotten along quite well before all of this, they had trusted each other and helped the camp through a lot.
"Locke ..." Jack stopped, wondering how people would take the news, but then figured it would be better than lying to them " ... went with them. Kate will be back at camp soon" Jack told him. He thought Kate would have followed Sayid back, she also didn't trust Juliet ...mainly because Juliet had handcuffed herself to Kate, dragged her out into the jungle and lied to her ... he couldn't exactly blame her.

"Locke... went with them? Why? Did they torture him?" Judd shivered at the thought. He hadn't ever been tortured, but Eko had tied him to a chair and beaten him. That didn't really count, but if the Others threatened him with torture, he'd walk anywhere.

"They don't torture people," came Juliet's voice. She spoke with confidence, not letting on how nervous she was. Conversations like this had to go well. She couldn't blow her cover; she couldn't give anything away. But Juliet also didn't want to lie. She hated lying. "It's incredibly inhumane and wrong." She told herself to not glance in Sayid's direction. She knew that he had been a torturer, but she wasn't going to draw attention to it in front of these people.
"John went with them of his own accord," she told Judd, looking him in the eye. "He wasn't forced." These people thought that the Others were nothing but terrible savages. Juliet needed to try her hardest to change that image. If she couldn't do it for her people in general, then she at least needed to get them to see that she was okay, that she wasn't a threat. Juliet needed their trust.

Jack didn't get chance to answer as Juliet replied almost instantly. Even though she had been left behind by these people, it seemed strange that she would defend them. It was almost like she was offended by this comment.
Jack hadn't actually seen what happened to Locke, he was too busy trying to stay conscious. But if Juliet said that he went on his own accord then Jack believed her, it sounded like something he would do anyway. John Locke wasn't the most trustworthy man on this island, and Jack was glad to see the back of him. Especially after what he had done.
"Locke blew up the submarine that was going to get me off this island and get you all rescued. He doesn't want anyone to leave" Jack added.

Judd was startled by Juliet's sudden defense of the Others. He wondered if she really did carry the same ethics and thought processes of the Others. He then listened to Jack. Locke had become one of them?! But he was practically the second leader in the camp! How could he betray them like that?! Or, maybe Jack had his information mixed up. That made a bit more sense.
"Are you absolutely sure about that? You know I'll listen, but to the other survivors, Locke was the second leader. They won't take it lightly and you could be sort of, well, impeached on the thought that you could've been brainwashed. They'll go look for Locke and kill Juliet and maybe you too." Judd lowered his voice, and looked around for other survivors. "You might want to keep a few details out."

Jack looked at Judd as if to say "Are you serious?" Jack knew there would be no one at the beach wanting to kill him, he had been gone a long time and people would just be happy to see him. Locke had made his own choice and that had nothing to do with Jack, the rest of the camp would see this as they had trust in him.
"Don't you think you're over reacting just a little?" Jack knew Judd was only trying to help, but Jack could handle the rest of the camp, he was there only doctor and they needed him. "I'll sort it out with the rest of them and everything will be fine, you'll see" He smiled at Judd, trying to make him feel a little better ... and safer.
